I attended a performing arts high school in New York.  You tell some of your friends that don’t go to your school that you play in an orchestra and you find it fun, they stereotype you.   They stereotype you cause sometimes you prefer listening AND playing to Beethoven rather than rapping along to Eminem (who was peaking at the time…yes I’m old).  They saw you as weak and impudent.  They thought wrong.
