So how do you get a successful tv show?  One way is to include elements of other successful tv shows.  So Hawaii 5.0 (5.0 is another way of saying police for those who never ran into trouble with the law) is a remake of the classic tv show of the same name.  It’s a cop show about a special unit fighting crime on an exotic island.  It’s like Bad Boys meets Lethal Weapon meets the Rush Hour minus Chris Tucker.  Sound good? Sound sexy enough for you?

A cop show like this could only air on CBS, because apparently the “C” in cbs stands for crime or cops these days.  All their dramatic programming deals with people and guns.  Whatever works right?  It’s still the #1 network out today.

Anyway!  What other elements would you need?  CASTING!  What do Lost and Battlestar Galactica have in common?  They were both successful shows and were the launchpad for the careers of Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park.  So BAM!  There you go.  Korean-Americans everywhere rejoice!  That’s my little spiel.  Many people find Daniel Dae Kim sexy, many more people will find Grace Park sexier.  I’ll speak less and embed more so watch the sneak peak below, I’m excited =)

Interview with the cast!

Wonder what the old show looked like?

and you know what guys?  I’m looking beyond Hawaii 5.0, I think that years down the road after a successful show, Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim should do a spin-off! Or do a buddy cop show on their own!

Hales Yea!
